Washington County has been growing and continues to grow into one of the best places for businesses to locate. Between 2013 to 2018, Washington County’s total employment population grew by 14.8 percent. That’s twice as much growth as the overall statewide growth during that period of time. Between 2017 and 2018 the county’s total rate of employment grew by 2.9 percent, making Washington County third for adding the most jobs in Minnesota this past fiscal year.
