Funded by the Washington County CDA, Open to Business is a FREE program to help get small businesses access to the financing options that can help start or grow their business. Tyler Hilsabeck is the business advisor tasked with working with entrepreneurs to find financing that best meets their unique needs, whether through a traditional bank, community lending program or direct Open to Business funding. “As the Washington County Open to Business Advisor, it is my passion to work with entrepreneurs and to support the small business community with technical assistance and access to capital,” said Hilsabeck. “I enjoy working with business owners on various challenges and opportunities faced during each stage of the business life cycle.”

Getting capital in the hands of Washington County entrepreneurs and small business owners

Open to Businesses is a Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD) program intended to help provide capital to small business endeavors in Washington County and the greater Twin Cities region. MCCD is a Community Development Financial Institution focused on providing financial assistance capital to all, including those who face challenges in accessing the commercial banking system, like Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), women, low-wealth individuals, and geographic areas of underinvestment.
